1. INSPIRING BEAUTY: 50 YEARS OF EBONY FASHION FAIR (OCT 28-JAN 21)
Monday, January 15, 2018 – Sunday, January 21, 2018
Here is your last chance to visit the 50-year history of the Ebony Fashion Fair exhibit! Gather the crew and head to the North Carolina Museum of Art to witness 40 stunning ensembles, including works by designers such as Christian Dior, Givenchy, Christian Lacroix, Yves Saint Laurent, Bob Mackie, Alexander McQueen, b. 2. GIRLS NIGHT OUT 2018 KICKOFF AT FOX + HOUND
Tuesday, January 16, 2018, 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Grab a girlfriend or two for happy hour and networking at Fox & Hound! There will be great food, drinks, and shopping, plus giveaways and raffles hosted by vendors. It’s free to attend but an RSVP is required. Learn more HERE.

3. ROCK THE MIC LECTURE SERIES WITH BAKARI SELLERS
Wednesday, January 17, 2018, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Bakari Sellers, politician and CNN commentator will deliver the keynote lecture at North Carolina Central University’s Rock The Mic series. Sellers made history in 2006 when, at just 22 years old, he defeated a 26-year incumbent state representative to become the youngest member of the South Carolina state legislature and the youngest African-American elected official in the nation. 4. UNC MLK CELEBRATION WITH LORETTA LYNCH
Thursday, January 18, 2018, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
The lecture provides an opportunity to hear from national thought leaders on the importance of social justice, unity, action, and/or service. This year, United States Attorney General Loretta Lynch will deliver the keynote. Tickets are free, but registration is required. Learn more HERE.

5. R&B KARAOKE
Thursday, January 18, 2018, 8:00 p.m. – 11:15 p.m.
Hit the stage with your crew to perform your favorite R&B songs! This is one night of good drinks, food, and your favorite hits that you don’t want to miss. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. Make sure you are in the building. Learn more HERE.

6. VERT AND VOGUE HAPPY HOUR WITH PIERCE FREELON
Friday, January 19, 2018, 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Head to happy hour at Vert & Vogue with special guest Pierce Freelon. A musician, social entrepreneur, professor and community activist, Pierce will share his passion and vision for Durham. This free event is part of Third Friday Durham. Drinks are on the house! Learn more HERE.

7. THE GIRLFRIEND’S POD DINNER PARTY

8. SOUL YOGA RALEIGH
Saturday, January 20, 2018, 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

9. ENVISION EMPOWERMENT EXPERIENCE

The ultimate empowerment experience powered by Dr. Bahby Banks is back in Durham. This year’s theme, “Passion,” builds on last year’s content by offering women a structured plan to pursue their passion with clarity and vigor! 10. EDDIE B. – TEACHERS ONLY COMEDY TOUR

The Houston native is single-handedly changing the comedy game, tapping into the minds of teachers around the world and selling out major arenas throughout the country in minutes!
