1. CUFFING SEASON
Monday, January 29, 2018, 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
CUFFING SEASON is a monthly soulful speed dating event. Sign up for an evening of conversation, laughter, tasty food and possibly love! 2. POP-UP NOIR
Wednesday, January 31, 2018, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
At this pop-up event, come and find out more about New Orleans Black Restaurant Week, which kicks off February 12. You’ll also get to meet the venue hosts, owners Alonzo & Jessica Knox of Backatown Coffee Parlour and enjoy a cash coffee/tea bar with featured dishes and treats. 3. COMMON PRAXIS
Wednesday, January 31, 2018, 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
“Being from New Orleans “young professional” translates a little differently. College isn’t in the cards for everybody, but we still build businesses and sit among the best in our various crafts and fields. Common Praxis is for ALL young professionals of color with or without the Ph.D. or 40 under 40 mentions. It’s for artists, entrepreneurs, partners, CEO’s, principals, and teachers. Soon to be state reps and receptionists alike. 4. COOLNASTY WEEKLY JAM
Wednesday, January 31, 2018, 9:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
The Jam w/CoolNasty takes place EVERY Wednesday night at NOJM. If you are an aspiring musician, poet, comedian, etc. this is the event for you! 5. BLACK HISTORY MONTH – A COMEDY SHOW
Thursday, February 1, 2018, 9:10 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Local comedy troupe We Are Young Funny and the all-women comedy collective Black Girl Giggles are getting together to celebrate Black History Month, but in a woke, funny way. The jokes and the comedians are for us, by us. This show will be packed and not one to be missed. Learn more HERE.

6. DEE-1 SLINGSHOT DAVID TOUR
Friday, February 2, 2018, 7:00 p.m. 
David Augustine Jr., better known as Dee-1, is a local New Orleans rapper whose lyrics are vocal on social activism, faith and the college debt crisis. He received national success with the single “Sallie Mae Back,” where he rapped about having paid off all his college loans. That’s a song that many people wish they could sign along to. He’s back home to perform songs from his latest album at the House of Blues for his second to last stop on his mini national tour. Learn more HERE.

7. THE TIPPING POINT
Friday, February 2, 2018, 11:00 p.m. 
Created by DJ RQ Away it began with the idea of giving those seeking a good time an alternative to what he and his cohorts had come to know as a “regular” night out. 8. CHEWBACCHUS 2018
Saturday, February 3, 2018, 11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
The Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus returns for its eighth annual Mardi Gras parade. The vast Nerd Horde will once again take to the streets to celebrate its love for the Sacred Drunken Wookiee with the theme “Get On Board the Mothership”. The Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus also announces an across the board paradigm shift that takes the Krewe in the direction of an even more Decentralized DIY approach to Carnival. 9. EGO’S GENTLEMEN SPA GRAND OPENING
Saturday, February 3, 2018, 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

10. NOIRLINIANS MEET UP/POP UP SHOP

The duo of Noirlinians are back with their first event of 2018, another meet-up event/pop-up shop with some of the city’s favorite local vendors and DJ Afro\/Anarchy!
