1. FREEDOM FLICKS PRESENTS: I AM NOT YOUR NEGRO
Wednesday, January 31, 2018, 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
The Community Justice Project, in partnership with the Miami Social Justice Table, Celebrate Diversity Miami and Miami Shores PoC (South Florida People of Color) will screen I AM NOT YOUR NEGRO followed by a discussion from Dr. Tameka Bradley Hobbs and Rudy Jean-Bart. 4. RED DRESS RED WINE AFFAIR

Get heart healthy with the City of Miami Gardens and Councilwoman Felicia Robinson!
The Red Dress Red Wine Affair is entering its 3rd year and has grown to become one of the City’s most popular annual health advocacy events. This year, the event will be featuring interactive juicing demos, salsa dancing lessons, music, healthy cooking demos, survivor testimonies, free health screenings, and, of course, red wine sampling! 5. BLAXPLOITATION FILM MARATHON
Saturday, February 3, 2018, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Funky Turns 40: Black Character Revolution Animation Art Exhibition presents a retrospective of the first positive Black animation characters in television history and highlights the historic significance of the appearances of these characters in Saturday morning cartoons and specials during the late 1960’s and 70’s. At the Black Archives Historic Lyric Theater, experience the art exhibit and a day of back-to-back Blaxploitation films. 6. THE ART OF WRAPPING YOUR HAIR
Saturday, February 3, 2018, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Up your headwrap game just in time for Black History Month and the much-anticipated Black Panther Premiere. Allow this headwrap class to teach you the basics or enhance what you already know.
