1. TECH TALK: AFROFUTURISM & TECHNOLOGY
Tuesday, February 13, 2018, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Get ready to go Black to the Future during this conversation of ideas about our past ancestral tech communities and future tech communities. Join in on the discussion of Afrofuturism and Technology with knowledgeable, Black professionals in history, community development, and STEM. This is one event as a part of Black Geek Week and other events curated by Black Antiquity. 2. MARDI GRAS FAT TUESDAY AT RUDY’S JAZZ ROOM
Tuesday, February 13, 2018, 9:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
You don’t have to go all the way to New Orleans or Mobile to get a taste of Mardi Gras, so let the good times roll right here in Nashville. Celebrate Fat Tuesday at Rudy’s Jazz Room with HalfBrass, a live 5-piece, funky, brass band. 3. VALENTINE’S DAY JAZZ & JOKES W/ FAIZON LOVE & SAXOPHONIST MIKE PHILLIPS
Wednesday, February 14, 2018, 8:00 p.m.
Your ultimate Valentine’s Day experience is at Limelight. Be there for a night of jazz and jokes with comedian Faizon Love, saxophonist Mike Phillips, and singer L. Young. 4. MARVEL’S BLACK PANTHER: BLACK CARPET ADVANCED SCREENING
Thursday, February 15, 2018, 6:00 p.m.
GAWD, PacFest, Fellavision, and The E.E.O.G. have teamed up to bring Nashville the most immersive advanced screening of Marvel’s Black Panther. This will be a Black Carpet event with paparazzi. 5. BLACK PANTHER 3D: RED CARPET MOVIE PREMIERE ADVANCED SCREENING
Thursday, February 15, 2018, 6:15 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
The Meharry Nashville Area Alumni Chapter is hosting this Red Carpet Movie Premiere Advanced Screening of Black Panther. Grace the Red Carpet wearing your favorite African, HBCU, or Divine 9 attire. This special premiere will be held at Green Hills Regal 16 Cinema in a theater complete with full reclining lounge seats, and the movie will be viewed in RealD 3D. Learn more HERE. 

6.  THE MUSIC OF BLACK PANTHER: DANCE PARTY & ART IMMERSION
Friday, February 16, 2018, 10:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
Black Geek Week continues with this dance party, and it is all for the love of Black Panther and the movie soundtrack produced by Kendrick Lamar and TDE. Step out in royal attire, or you can even cosplay for the occasion. This event will also feature a preview of the Heroes, Legends, and Queens art immersion which is curated by Norf Art Collective. 7. 9th ANNUAL CUSP OF CARABELLI BALL IN THE GRECIAN GARDEN
Saturday, February 17, 2018, 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
This annual gala serves to welcome Meharry’s first-year dental students while commemorating the achievements and honors of the graduating class of 2018. The 9th Annual Cusp of Carabelli Ball: Grecian Nights Celebration will be held at the Omni Nashville Hotel. 8. VANGUARD ART SHOW: 2ND ANNUAL BLACK HISTORY PROJECT #BHP2
Saturday, February 17, 2018, 7:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
The Vanguard Art Show is not your ordinary art show. It is a full showcase and celebration of Black excellence. Fine art will be on exhibit, talented artists will bless the mic, and DeeJay Q and the live band will set the mood with jazz, hip-hop, and soul music throughout the night. This edition of the Vanguard Art Show is the 2nd annual Black History Project hosted by Vanguard Nashville and the Paragon Social Club. The featured artists Xavier Payne and Kashmir VIII will have their work on exhibit at Track One Nashville for this art show. 9. DRINKS WITH FRIENDS

Calling all socialites and friends to 9 Bar\Lounge for Drinks with Friends! As more people from around the country are moving to the city, it is time for a familiar but progressive format into the city’s party scene. 10. THE KAPPA GARDEN: THE OFFICIAL CARABELLI BALL AFTER PARTY 2018
Saturday, February 17, 2018, 11:30 p.m. – 2:30 a.m.
