2. BYOV WEDNESDAYS A THE W HOTEL DC
Wednesday, March 14, 2018, 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
After work slide on over to the luxurious W Hotel in downtown DC to sip some bubbly. Then, come and enjoy the sounds of DJ 2-Tone Jones on the turntables with a refined mix of soulful house, downtempo, hip-hop, funk, and more. 3. 2ND WEDNESDAYS

This week’s upcoming 2nd Wednesdays for Women’s History Month is featuring the 2016 Baltimore Youth Poet, the one and only, Hannah Sawyerr. 5. THE BLACK LOVE EXPERIENCE
Saturday, March 17, 2018, 7:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
Year five will be beyond epic! Originating from the masterminds behind Nubian Hueman, The Black Love Experience is a conglomerate of artistry and inventiveness geared towards creatives, revolutionaries, kindred souls, and fearless visionaries celebrating ourselves under the canopy of all things Black. This event connects the vibrant creative community of the Washington DC Metro Area and beyond, through expressions of music, art, wellness, and creative commerce, but most of all it’s good vibes and togetherness. To contain it under the guise of a party, pop-up, concert, or gathering of any kind would be an understatement. 8. UZODINMA IWEALA FOR SPEAK NO EVIL
Sunday, March 18, 2018, 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Uzodinma Iweala received the Los Angeles Times Art Seidenbaum Award for First Fiction, the Sue Kaufman Prize for First Fiction from the Academy of Arts and Letters, the New York Public Library Young Lions 2006 Fiction Award, and the 2006 John Llewellyn Rhys Prize for Beasts of No Nation. In 2007, he was selected as one of Granta’s Best Young American Novelists. A graduate of Harvard University and the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, he lives in New York City and Lagos, Nigeria. Now he presents this book.
