1. ROUTE 1804: HAITI, THE HEARTBEAT OF THE CARIBBEAN
Tuesday, December 5th, 2017, 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Start Miami Art Week and Art Basel Weekend off with the breath-taking visual experience that is Route 1804: Haiti, Heartbeat of the Caribbean. The exhibition is a celebration of Haitian and Caribbean Culture and is conceptualized by Sandy Dorsainvil of Maximillian Consultants Inc. Bart Mervil, the Miami Urban Contemporary Experience (MUCE), and Marie Vickles of Future Roots Collective are the curators of Route 1804. 2. BASHMENT TV
Wednesday, December 6th, 2017, 10:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m.
Your favorite So Flo Caribbean DJ, Silent Addy, is giving you a gift on his birthday, Bashment TV! Hosted by the talented Karizma Dance troupe and music from an All-Star DJ lineup, Bashment TV is sure to produce nothing but good vibes. 3. 1 AM LIVE BASEL EDITION
Thursday, December 7th, 2017, 10:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m.
1AM LIVE event series provides a platform for local artists to perform for their community. Anchored by artists from the area who have already made some noise, 1AM is a space for the music enthusiast to discover new music, connect with one another and most importantly dance. 4. ART BASEL- THE ART OF CONVERSATION
Friday, December 8th, 2017, 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
An evening featuring the premiere screening of the award-winning series Giants and Art of Conversation Q&A featuring creator/writer James Bland and cast members. In celebration of African Americans in the Arts, the screening will be held at the Black Archives- Historic Lyric Theater. 5. YARD X BASEL
Friday, December 8th, 2017, 6:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
YARDxBASEL is the premiere Noirbnb event, created to showcase the work of Caribbean, African, and African-American artists during Miami’s Art Basel festivities. This will be an evening to celebrate our creativity, contributions, and culture in all its beauty and diversity. 6. BASEL B.A.E. (BLACK ART EXPERIENCE)
Friday, December 8th, 2017, 8:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
Basel B.A.E is a rare cultural celebration of incredible visual art in various formats: paint, photography, sculpture, and fashion. The artists will be present to comment on their work, and pieces will be available for purchase, along with additional items provided by our amazing local vendors. Basel B.A.E will, of course, feature the dope vibes that Socialxchange Miami is known for, with an amazing musical soundtrack provided by some of today’s most eclectic and versatile DJ’s. 7. EVERYDAY PEOPLE MIAMI ART BASEL

An interactive gallery exhibition, highlighting the artistry of African hair braiding through imagery and live model activation displays featuring a live braid demo by Shani Crowe. AOB features the underground and mainstream demographics for talented artists to expose their conceptual work. These works are curated based on their actual time, materials, and emotional message. 10. EXHIBIT GRAY
Sunday, December 10th, 2017, 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Exhibit Gray is a traveling conversation, art exhibition, and live musical journey. They provide a platform for presentation and proper discussion of society’s “gray” areas and how to have the “mind of a winner”. Led by international best-selling authors Enitan Bereola II and Steve Canal, world-renown artist Skyler Grey, photographer Parsons, and global sounds from New York and Miami’s hottest DJs.
