1. MASCULINITY, MENTAL HEALTH & HIP-HOP

Chicago-based, Dr. Obari Adéye Cartman puts in work identifying and addressing the messages, issues, and challenges which young, Black men face throughout their lives and how it affects their mental health. Meet him here in Nashville at Alkebu-Lan Images Bookstore on Jefferson Street as he leads a lively, multimedia presentation and discussion about manhood, maintaining optimal mental health, and decoding the messages that we take in from various channels. 2. MAN | WOMAN PRESENTS: THE NASHVILLE HOT OPEN JAM
Thursday, December 14, 2017, 8:00 p.m.
Many of Nashville’s professionals are creatives and musicians. Man | Woman is hosting a live jam at Radio Cafe, and this will be an evening of live art, both spontaneous and organized. There will be artists featured performing sets throughout the evening, and all other artists are welcome to jam as well. It’s an open jam session. 3. EVERY WEEKEND AT WKND

5. SOMMORE AT ZANIES

You may have seen this comedienne on Def Comedy Jam, Showtime at the Apollo, and most notably, Queens of Comedy, and now you can see her right here in Nashville at Zanies. I am talking about none other than Sommore who was the first woman to host BET’s Comic View. She is hilarious, and she is bringing her stand-up show here, so do not miss it. 6. WINE & SPIRITS: HOLIDAY WINE TASTING & ART

MashUp! Nashville wants to say Happy Holidays by inviting you to join them for a free, special holiday wine tasting and art event. Valid ID is required for wine tasting, and the event will be held at OutCentral on Church Street. MashUp! Grab your ugly Christmas sweater, get festive, and head over to 9Bar\Lounge for the Christmas day-party hosted by the Love Jones Duo. Nashville’s favorite live, canvas painting event is back! Beats & Brushes presents the holiday edition: “Bells & Brushes.” Kickoff the holidays with painting, cocktails, good vibes, and Christmas cheer. The Vanguard Nashville and the Paragon Social Club present the Vanguard Art Show which is a showcase of fine arts and will be hosted at WELD Nashville. Visual artists will have their work on display while poets, vocalists, and musicians will have the opportunity to participate in the open mic. DeeJay Q will set the mood with jazz, hip-hop, and soul music throughout the night, and Preston Mitchell is the featured artist on exhibit. 10. A JAZZY CHRISTMAS ON THE CUMBERLAND
Sunday, December 17, 2017, 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
If you are looking for an elegant evening with other professionals, then this all-inclusive concert, dinner, and cruise event aboard the General Jackson is just for you. Enjoy a delicious full course dinner, salad, dessert, beverages, and a cash bar. There will be a plethora of live performances by jazz musicians. Boarding on the General Jackson is from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and then you will experience the scenic 3-hour cruise down the Cumberland River from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. You must bring printed tickets for boarding.
