9. WOKE & WELL READ BOOK CLUB

Woke & Well-Read is a new book club that started this fall, facilitated by Jamila Latham. The group meets the third Tuesday and Wednesday of every month to accommodate the high attendance. Aka “The African King of Comedy,” is more than just an American comedy favorite, he’s one of the funniest guys in comedy. He put in major work before landing a scene-stealing, breakout role in Ice Cube’s hit film Next Friday. Blackson will be performing at The Helium Comedy Club this week.
