3. AM I MY BROTHER’S KEEPER

This event seeks to bring together white and blue collar, young professional men of color for a candid conversation about the challenges and opportunities facing them. They will discuss a number of topics ranging from maintaining your identity while navigating a majority corporate culture, to examining male privilege, to operating in an often time unjust and unequal system. Through the process of networking and discussions, they would like attendees to learn more about the role of Thursday Network creating spaces for men of color to grow and their potential role in creating the agenda of Thursday Network. 4. THRIVE WORKSHOP DESIGN THINKING IN ACTION

Learn how to use design thinking to solve complex and strategic challenges in your organization by using these skills in this Design Thinking in Action workshop. 8. FIELDWORK PHOTOGRAPHY BASICS

The Fieldworks photography basics presented by the U.S. Botanical Gardens is a class designed for those who have taken any of the Photography Basics classes and want the opportunity to work in the field to reinforce the material covered in the classroom. They will encourage you to leave the Auto settings behind and to shoot in the Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority or Manual modes. Now it’s time for some hands-on. Their location is the U.S. Botanical Gardens Conservatory which gives plenty of photo opportunities to practice exposure settings and creative captures.
