1. ON THE LEJ PRESENTS OPEN MIC TUESDAY
Tuesday, April 10, 2018, 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
On The LEJ hosts open mic nights on Tuesdays at Broken Spoke Saloon. Open mic nights are always enjoyable. You can witness raw talent, and you can even share some of your own performing arts skills. 2. URBAN MUSIC EXPERIENCE IV
Friday, April 13, 2018, 7:00 p.m.
The Urban League Young Professionals of Middle Tennessee present the Urban Music Experience Vol. 4 this Friday night at Moguls Lounge. They will showcase some of the top vocalists, thought-provoking poets, and most lyrical hip-hop artists. This is a sell-out event every year, so make sure to grab your tickets so that you do not miss out. The artist lineup includes Saaneah, Damon Booker, 2:19AM, CoJo Ko, and more. 3. DEON COLE AT ZANIES
Friday – Sunday, April 13-15, 2018, various times
Zanies Nashville is host to some of the best comedy acts to come through the city, and this weekend will prove to be more of that same greatness. Deon Cole will be doing stand-up comedy shows on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at various times. You may have seen him on Black•ish or the three other TV shows on which he is currently starring, but now you have the opportunity to see him up close and personal at Zanies where he is sure to keep the laughs coming. Learn more HERE.

4. THE SET: CRUSH ON YOU EDITION
Friday, April 13, 2018, 9:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
The Set is back! The Set is a series with house party vibes, and it features a fun night of hip-hop music based on a designated theme, live art, a local food truck, a pop-up shop, and more. This installment of The Set is the Crush On You Edition which is a dedication to Lil Kim. Surely you have seen the “Crush On You” music video, so which Kim will you be representing: blue, yellow, red, or green? Make sure to dress the part in whichever one of those colors you choose. 5. “VOTING IS LIT.” COMMUNITY BLOCK PARTY
Saturday, April 14, 2018, 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
As the capstone to their Souls to the Polls initiative, The Equity Alliance will host a “Voting is Lit” Community Block Party and Rally during the early voting period. The event will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, at Hartman Park Community Center, located at 2801 Tucker Road near the Bordeaux Library precinct. The event will include children’s activities, such as inflatables and face painting, musical performances, Greek showcase and more. A Party Bus Shuttle will take attendees to vote at the Bordeaux Library precinct, and food will be sponsored by Seema Prasad, owner of Miel Restaurant. Learn more HERE.

6. JUST PLAY IT TO WIN IT
Saturday, April 14, 2018, 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Work hard and play hard is the name of the game, right? Just Play Entertainment is back with another event for all of you to let loose and have some fun. “In It To Win It” is Just Play’s day party which will be held here in Nashville at Broken Spoke Saloon. Bring a team of 4 or join a team upon arrival. All teams will be competing for a championship while battling it out at relay game challenges and Hip-Hop charades. 7. HOT CHICK’N & ART SHOW NASHVILLE
Saturday, April 14, 2018, 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Tri Group presents Craft Trap, the cultures moving underground art show, and they are bringing us the Hot Chick’N & Art Show this weekend. There will be a plethora of visual and performing artists, live music, live body painting, a DJ battle, the Hot Chick’N battle, and so much more. This will be a dope event for sure. Support all the talented artists who will have their work on display and for sale at this art show held at Golden Rule Event Center. 8. JOCO SHOWS PRESENTS KANYE VS. JAY-Z
Saturday, April 14, 2018, 9:00 p.m.
We love live music shows here in Music City, U.S.A., and this weekend we are celebrating 3 years of JoCo Shows which has been the host of some of the best live music tribute shows. This week’s edition is Kanye vs. Jay-Z, so you are in for a real treat. Be at Mercy Lounge to hear local artists and bands playing the music of those two hip-hop greats. 9. TRINA & FRIENDS LIVE!
Saturday, April 14, 2018, 10:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Trina, the baddest chick herself, will be performing live this weekend at 9 Bar\Lounge for the 2nd Annual Stars Amongst Stars event hosted by OneSwagg Ent. The party with be live with DJ Coop and DJ Gemini who will be providing the sounds, and Joe Major and Ghanaian Rozay will be on crowd control.
